In connection with the introduction of the euro as the official currency, the Commercial Register has begun to ex officio amend and convert the registered share capital of companies from Bulgarian leva into euros.
Each company is required to prepare and file with its company records an updated articles of association / shareholders' agreement / statute, reflecting the conversion of the share capital. This obligation must be fulfilled by the end of the year or upon the first filing submitted to the Commercial Register, whichever occurs earlier.
