Kaufland’s 49th store in the country and the 5th in the city of Plovdiv officially opened its doors on Thursday 1 May.
The retail chain continues its successful presence on the Bulgarian market and the rapid expansion of its coverage. The new store covers an area of over 3000 sq.m. and a parking zone of 210 parking spots. It offers the chain’s standard assortment of more than 20 000 products, including its own trademark - K-Classic. More than 150 job opportunities were created as part of Kaufland's investment.
Additionally, the store was developed according to the latest technologies where heating will be realized entirely without the use of fossil fuels.
The firm’s Real Estate team, led by partner Atanas Shopov, assisted Kaufland Bulgaria through the entire development and construction of the store, including property acquisition, drafting and conclusion of design and construction agreements, as well as assistance through land urbanization activities, including regulatory issues and change of land status.
